Oxfordshire Trading Standards provides quality services to residents and businesses across the county.
Trading Standards covers a range of advice including consumer and business advice, animal health and welfare as well as approved traders and doorstep crime.
The Doorstep Crime Team works very closely with the Community Safety Partnership to raise awareness of bogus callers and how to prevent distraction burglaries.
The team has caught and convicted several bogus workmen who overcharged residents for unneccesary work. These cases were dealt with in conjunction with the police.
