Who are the DAAT?
The Oxfordshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) are a partnership organisation who develop, commission and performance manage drug and alcohol services in Oxfordshire.
Our aim is to provide the best possible treatment and support for drug and alcohol misuse in order to improve health and well-being and enable social re-integration.
Drug and alcohol treatment and support services in Oxfordshire are changing.
From 1st April 2012 there will be a single point of contact for anyone over 18 wanting to access drug or alcohol treatment. This will be LASARS (Local Area Single Assessment and Referral Service), which will be provided by Aquarius.
Community treatment will be provided by the Harm Minimisation Service and the Recovery Service, provided by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with The Oasis Partnership.
The Recovery Service, provided by Lifeline will provide recovery focused treatment services to drug and alcohol users across Oxfordshire who are ready to work towards abstinence and recovery.
Both services will commence on 2nd April 2012, with LASARS taking referrals for new clients from mid March 2012.
For drug and alcohol support for under 18s, Young Addaction can be contacted on 01235 468405.
Further details of all changes and services can be found on the DAAT website.
Alternatively if you have any questions or queries about the changes, you can call Oxfordshire User Team (OUT) on the freephone helpline number on 0800 1697970.
